LYNCHBURG, Va. – The UNC Asheville women’s tennis team is on the road this weekend for two key Big South Conference matches.
Asheville (10-5, 2-2 BSC) travels to Liberty this afternoon for a 1 p.m., followed by a match at Radford on Saturday starting at Noon.
The Bulldogs are coming off a loss at Big South-leading Charleston Southern on Wednesday, 7-0.
Lise Gregory’s club is enjoying its best season in more than 10 years at 10-5 and hope to move up in the league standings with wins this weekend.
Liberty is 8-8 on the year and 3-2 in league play. Radford has a 6-8 worksheet and posted a 1-2 league mark.
Ericka Rivero leads the Bulldogs in wins in singles play with 10. Emily McCall has posted a 9-3 record during the first part of the year.
Asheville has been very solid in doubles action this season. Zoe Hamel and Ericka Rivero have an 11-4 record at #1 flight. Gillian-Lewis and Emily McCall are 7-2 at #3 doubles.
