ASHEVILLE, N.C. – The UNC Asheville women’s tennis team starts a three-game homestand Wednesday afternoon when the Bulldogs host defending Big South Conference champion Winthrop at the Asheville Racquet Club Downtown starting at 2 p.m. Admission is free.
The Bulldogs (10-6, 2-3 BSC) look to snap a two-game losing streak but it won’t be easy against the Lady Eagles (10-4, 4-1 BSC). Winthrop had an eight-game winning streak snapped at Charleston Southern on Monday.
Asheville will face Campbell on Saturday and have its final home match against Presbyterian College next Wednesday (April 9).
Ericka Rivero leads the Bulldogs in wins in singles with 10. Emily McNall and Zoe Hamel have nine wins. Rivero and Hamel have teamed in doubles to get 11 victories.
