ASHEVILLE, N.C. – The UNC Asheville women’s tennis team returns to the courts on Saturday when the Bulldogs host Campbell at the Asheville Racquet Club Downtown starting at 1 p.m.

Asheville looks to snap a three-game losing streak against the Lady Camels. The Bulldogs fought hard and gave defending Big South champion Winthrop some tough matches before the Lady Eagles emerged with a 6-1 win on Tuesday at the ARC.

It will take a strong effort to slow down Campbell on Saturday. CU is 12-6 overall and 5-1 in the Big South. The Lady Camels had a seven-game winning streak snapped by South Carolina State on Thursday, 4-3.

The teams played twice last season with Campbell edging the Bulldogs each time, 4-3.

Asheville will play just twice in the regular season after Saturday as the Bulldogs play their final home match of the year on Wednesday (April 9) against Presbyterian at 2 p.m. Prior to the Wednesday’s match, the school will honor senior Zoe Hamel as she’ll play her final match at the ARC.
