In 1987, Disney's animated film Cinderella told children everywhere that "a dream is a wish your heart makes." When I was a little girl, I didn't dream of being a princess or ballet dancer. Those were too prissy, too boring for me. Sports provided the action, fun, and competition that I sought after; naturally, I had to play them all. I grew up in a city that worshipped college athletics causing me to be exposed to it at a young age. After attending my first Lady Vols game, my dream of becoming a college athlete was born.

I've been living that dream to the fullest for the past three years. While arriving seemed like a success on its own, I soon realized that there was much more to be done than simply exist. I began to dream of becoming a champion. Last year, we won the regular season, and although it was a great accomplishment, we failed to reach our ultimate goal-winning the Big South Conference Tournament.

There's no time better than the present to win it. In fact, it's the only time I have. Our Senior Night is this Saturday, and it all feels very strange. College athletics has been such a big part of who I am, but this dream isn't over. It's just evolving. I want to end my career as the best player I could possibly be. The best possible illustration... A CHAMPIONSHIP RING.
