Miller, a junior from Decatur, Ind., recorded 40 kills and averaged 3.33 kills per set to lead her Bulldogs to a 3-0 record last week, including a win over Big South rival High Point. She got her week started with 14 kills on .375 hitting to go along with eight digs and two aces as Asheville downed Mercer, 3-0, on Oct. 26. Three days later against High Point, Miller picked up a 13-kill, 15-dig double-double in the 3-1 win. She closed her week out with her second double-double in as many games as she put down 13 kills and came up with 16 digs and two blocks against Radford on Oct. 30. The honor marks her second Player of the Week nod this season.
Stewart, a freshman from Hendersonville, N.C., posted 77 digs to help Asheville to three wins last week. She highlighted her week with a 40-dig match in Asheville's 3-2 win over Radford. With her 40-dig performance, she became the only player in the League this season to post at least 40 digs in a match. She started her week with 20 digs against Mercer and followed with 17 digs vs. High Point. The honor marks her first Defensive Player of the Week plaudit on the season.
