ASHEVILLE, N.C. - The UNC Asheville volleyball team finishes up the regular season this Saturday afternoon when the Bulldogs take on regular-season champion Liberty at the Vines Center starting at 2 p.m. You can watch the match via video-streaming for a small fee at www.uncabulldogs.com.

Asheville (19-10, 11-4 BSC) brings a seven-game winning streak into Saturday's match. The Flames (22-8, 13-2 BSC) have clinched at least a tie for the Big South regular-season title but need a win over the Bulldogs to win the title outright. Liberty was the only team to defeat the Bulldogs at home this year when the Lady Flames won in four sets back in October.

"We're playing better than we did when we played Liberty but so are they," commented Asheville coach Julie Torbett. "We just want to keep getting better with each match and play our best volleyball next weekend at the Big South Conference Tournament at Winthrop."

The Bulldogs won their seventh straight match on Tuesday when they won at Gardner-Webb in three sets. Asheville had to overcome some injuries in the match to pull out the victory.

"We were a little short-handed on Tuesday and had to go with a different line-up," explained Torbett. "It took awhile but once we got going we played pretty well. I was proud of the way we handled a little adversity and pulled out a road victory."
