The Bulldogs (9-7, 2-1 BSC) have won six of their last eight matches. Asheville knocked off Western Carolina 3-0 on Tuesday at Justice Center.
First-year coach Frederico Santos' club face a Presbyterian College team that is 6-11 overall but 2-1 in league play.
"Presbyterian has a solid team. They've played a tough schedule but have posted two impressive conference wins," admitted Santos. "We're going to have to be at our best both Friday and Saturday to have a chance at winning."
Winthrop is currently tied for first place in the Big South Conference with Liberty at 3-0. The Eagles are coached by former Bulldog head coach Julie Torbett, who led the Asheville program for 17 seasons before moving to Rock Hill last spring.
"We know Winthrop will be well-coached," stated Santos. "They have a very good team, and they do everything well."
