GREENSBORO, N.C. - The UNC Asheville volleyball team had two players make the All-Tournament team at the Spartan-Aggie Invitational this weekend. The players were senior Holly Shelton and junior Anna Moore.
The Bulldogs finished runners-up in the tournament as they slipped past UNC Greensboro in five sets on Friday. Asheville fell to American in three sets on Saturday but bounced back to beat North Carolina in three sets later in the day to go 2-1 in the tourney.
Shelton posted a career-high 23 kills and had 11 digs against the Spartans. She added nine kills and seven digs vs. the Aggies.
Moore had 18 kills and five blocks in the match against UNCG. She chipped in 11 kills and four blocks against A&T.
The Bulldogs will play at USC Upstate on Tuesday at 7 p.m.
