ASHEVILLE, N.C.—A winter storm warning and freezing rain have forced the cancellation of Sunday’s college baseball game between UNC Asheville and Central Michigan scheduled for 1 p.m.
The game will not be made up. The cancellation of Sunday’s game also ends Saturday afternoon’s suspended game. Central Michigan was leading 15-6 going to the top of the ninth inning. That game will not be completed and CMU will get the win to improve to 3-4 on the season.
Asheville took the first two games of the series 12-4 on Friday and 7-4 in the first game on Saturday. The Bulldogs are now 2-6 on the year.
UNC Asheville will travel to Clemson on Wednesday, March 4. The 4 p.m. game can be heard live via audio streaming at uncabulldogs.com.
