Overview:  Junior College transfer who was the Bulldogs starting center-fielder for much of the 2009 season...struggled at the plate in the first half of the season but improved a great deal in the last half of the year...one of four seniors on this year's club...excellent student.

2009: Started 38 games and finished the year with .226 average with seven doubles and two home runs...only made one error on the year...top hitting game came late in the year vs. Presbyterian (5-14) when he went 3-for-5 with four RBI and a double...posted three hits and drove in a run at Winthrop (5-2) ...had two hits, RBI and stolen base in home win over Central Michigan (2-27)...went 2-for-3 with double at Florida State (4-21)...hit two-run homer at UNC Greensboro (5-13)...also had home run at Gardner-Webb (4-18)...ended the season with hits in 10 of the last 14 games.

Before UNC Asheville: Enjoyed an excellent career at Longview Community College and Grain Valley HS in Missouri...helped lead Longview to NJCAA World Series by hitting .321 with five home runs, 14 doubles, three triples and 43 RBI last spring...freshman year hit .337 with six home runs, 12 doubles, three triples and 38 RBI...Longview finished with 41-18 record and trip to NJCAA World Series...led Grain Valley to two fourth-place finshes in Missouri during his career...team had 72-16 record during his career...senior season hit .435 with 30 hits, three home runs and 26 RBI...named to Missouri River Valley All-Conference team junior and senior year...hit .390 with five home runs as a junior...excellent student-athlete as was named as a MRVC Scholar three straight years...earned prestigious Kansas City Scholar-Athlete Award senior year...member of National Honor Society.
