Overview: Will miss the 2008-09 season due to a infection in his right foot that he suffered in August...the tallest player to ever play at UNC Asheville and in the Big South Conference...enjoyed a tremendous 2007-08 season that was culminated in him being named 2008 Big South Conference Defensive Player of the Year and earning second team all-conference honors...improved a great deal from the 2006-07 season after not playing for more than two years...garnered a great deal of national media coverage throughout last year as he was a featured story in the New York Times and on ESPN Game Day...also was featured in Sports Illustrated and numerous newspapers throughout the country...came to UNC Asheville in the fall of 2004 and sat out year adjusting to school and then missed the following year with injury...was saddled with injuries early 2006-07 season before making his collegiate debut at Virginia on Nov. 22, 2006 and then missed the next five games with injuries...moved into fifth place on UNC Asheville’s career blocked shot list with 150...majoring in Mass Communications and would like to be a movie director in the future.


2007-08: Led the nation in field goal percentage at 69.6 percent (151-of-217) and set a Big South Conference and UNC Asheville record in the process...played in 28 games and started one time...set a school record for blocked shots with 93...third on the team in scoring with a 12.4 average and led club in rebounding with 7.0 mark...led the Big South Conference and was eighth in the nation in blocked shots per game (3.3)...became the first UNC Asheville player in school history to record a triple-double when he scored 20 points, grabbed 12 rebounds and blocked 10 shots at Campbell (11-17)...just missed a triple-double against Lees-McRae (11-11) with 15 points, 10 blocked shots and nine rebounds...his 10 blocked shots in both games set a school record and tied a Big South record...tallied a career-high 21 points and pulled down 10 rebounds in comeback win over Buffalo (12-29)...collected a career-best 13 rebounds at Tennessee (12-19)...scored 19 points, grabbed 11 rebounds and went 7-of-8 from the field in Big South Tournament win over Liberty (3-6)...played very well at top-ranked North Carolina (1-9) when he scored 14 points, grabbed 11 rebounds and blocked four shots...had a great game at South Carolina(1-5) with 16 points and 13 rebounds as he scored the winning basket with 28 seconds remaining...had six double-doubles on the season, including 12 points and 11 rebounds against eventual NIT champion Ohio State (2-18) in opening round of NIT...tallied 13 points, had nine rebounds and blocked eight shots against East Tennessee State (11-24)...scored in double figures in 21 games...blocked at least four shots in 12 different games...had 15 points and six blocked shots in road win at Coastal Carolina (1-28) and the scored 18 points on 9-of-10 shooting from the field in home victory over the Chanticleers (2-27)...much improved free throw shooter as shot a respectable 65 percent (45-of-69) for the year after struggling at 23 percent the previous season...hit four key free throws down the stretch in opening game victory over Furman (11-9).



2006-07: Did an awesome job for the Bulldogs late in the season...in five-game stretch prior to Winthrop semifinal BSC tournament game he went 30-of-34 from the field (88.2%)...averaged 11.6 points, 7.2 rebounds and 3.3 blocked shots per game during those games...made his collegiate debut at Virginia and scored four points with five blocked shots in 15 minutes of action...blocked three shots in the game in a 10-second span...scored career-high of 14 points in near home upset of High Point where he went 7-of-8 from the field, grabbed seven rebounds and blocked three shots...tied career high of 14 points in late-season win at Charleston Southern as once again went 7-of-8 from the field with seven rebounds...went a perfect 6-of-6 from field and earned first career double-double with 10 rebounds in BSC tournament victory over Coastal Carolina ...opened Big South play against Liberty in impressive fashion with eight points, six rebounds and seven blocked shots...he blocked six shots in the first half of that game...grabbed nine rebounds at South Carolina State...collected nine rebounds and blocked five shots at ETSU...scored eight points and had eight rebounds in home win over Radford...shot 77.2 percent (61-of-79) from the field and led Bulldogs in blocked shots with 47.


Chicago Latin: Helped lead school to sectional playoffs in 2003-04 as he averaged eight points, 10 rebounds and nine blocked shots per game.
