GREENVILLE, N.C. - East Carolina won all six singles matches and captured the doubles point to defeat UNC Asheville 7-0 Wednesday afternoon at the ECU Tennis Complex.

 

The Bulldogs (3-2) came close to capturing the doubles points. The #3 flight of Gillian Lewis and Amryn Solider knocked off Danielle Terpko and Yilan Zhang, 8-4. Asheville's top doubles team of Zoe Hamel and Ericka Rivero lost a close 8-7 match to Nicole LaDuce and Neena Wanko, 8-7 (7-5) and #2 doubles team of Christine Boissevain and Emily McNall lost in a tie-breaker as well, 8-7 (7-1)

 

Asheville will have a week off before hosting Division II power Augusta State next Wednesday (Feb. 13) at Noon.
