ASHEVILLE, N.C. – UNC Asheville men’s basketball coach Eddie Biedenbach has announced that senior center Kenny George will be delayed in returning to school and in playing basketball due to recent surgery on his right foot.

 “Kenny participated in a camp in Las Vegas a few weeks ago and felt discomfort in his his right foot,” stated Biedenbach. “Upon his return to Chicago, he was examined by his physician who discovered that he had an infection which required immediate surgery.

“Right now we’re concerned about Kenny’s foot and how it heals,” added Biedenbach. “We are working daily with Kenny and his parents to monitor his progress. We look forward to his return to UNC Asheville and the basketball team but at the present time we just want him to get better.”
