Volleyball to Host Birmingham-Southern on Senior Day - UNC Asheville Bulldogs Official Athletics Site

ASHEVILLE, N.C. - Six UNC Asheville senior volleyball players will be playing their final regular-season home match on Saturday at 4 p.m. as the Bulldogs play host to Birmingham-Southern in the regular season finale for both teams.

Asheville enters the match with a 22-6 overall record and has won four-straight matches while Birmingham-Southern is 13-13 on the season and has won two-straight matches.

Both teams have wrapped up first round home matches in next week's Big South Conference Tournament as Asheville will be the No. 3 seed and will most likely host No. 6 seed Liberty. BSC has clinched the No. 4 seed and will host No. 5 seed High Point.

Asheville's six seniors, Rose Butler, Krysti Havens, Allison Lambert, Megan Murphy, Talia Ogle, and Amanda Wiles have each put their stamp on the program leading the Bulldogs to an 85-41 record over the last four years and a 40-17 conference mark. Butler is on the career-top 10 list in five categories kills, attempts, attack percentage, block assists, and total blocks. Havens is ninth in career digs, Lambert is 10th in career blocks, and Wiles is second in career assists and ninth in career games played.

Lillan Henderson is the Panthers top hitter this season averaging 2.87 kills per game with a .281 attack percentage. She also leads the team in blocks with 75. Jana Smelley leads the team with 3.42 kills per game and Alex Plummer leads the club in digs with 4.86 per game.
