Date: February 26-28. The preview is a 54-hole tournament, with 18 holes on Sunday, Monday and Tuesday.

Kiawah Island, S.C. – The UNC Asheville women's golf team completed play in the Edwin Watts/Kiawah Island Spring Classic at the Kiawah Island Golf Resort. The Bulldogs finished with a team score of 948 (325-310-313).
 
Asheville's Adelyn Deery was the Bulldogs top finisher. She finished the tournament shooting a 235 (81-78-76).  Rebecca Black (240), Kellen Alsip (241), Linna Brooks (242) and Janie Thomas (243) also competed for UNC Asheville.

BULLDOG BITES
LOWEST THREE DAY SCORE: The Bulldogs 948 strokes is their lowest 54-hole team score in program history.
 
FINAL RESULTS: Defending champions, Coastal Carolina University 870 (289-295-286) won the event for the second year in a row. The Chanticleers shot (+6) as a team. The leading individual was Laura Fuenfstueck of College of Charleston at -8 for the tournament.
 
BIG SOUTH COMPETITION: Four other Big South Conference finished competition for the three-day competition including Charleston Southern (+16), High Point (+46), Presbyterian College (+86) and Longwood (+88).
 
UP NEXT
UNC Asheville will take a break from action before returning to compete in the Wofford Invitational at Moss Creek in Hilton Head, S.C. on March 18-19.
